A Note for Beginning Writers
We frequently get asked, "How do you get a book published?"
Too bad there isn't a short answer.
That would be cool!
Since this is a vast question without a short answer, and there are a number of avenues for reaching this goal we suggest hitting the reference shelf. There are many, many books written on the topics of writing and publishing. Likewise, helpful information can be found on the internet. Most Importantly
If a publisher does not want your manuscript, it does not necessarily mean it is not a good piece of writing.Most likely it is not a good match for their specialty. Don't send a sci fi piece to a cook book publisher!Or, their line-up is full. Publishing companies work on budgets. They simply CAN'T publish every great story that comes to them.
